A Lifelong Friendship and Island Magic: Georgina & Andreas

Kythnos holds a very special place in my heart. It was one of the very first islands I ever visited when I was a kid, and this was my second time returning there to film a wedding. But what made this trip truly unforgettable was the groom: Andreas has been a close friend of mine since childhood. The moment he told me he wanted me to capture his wedding film, I didn’t think twice. Together with Georgina, we mapped out a day that sounded absolutely wonderful on paper—and turned out to be even better in reality.

The energy was incredible right from the start. Both Georgina and Andreas spent their morning preparations surrounded by a tight-knit circle of family and friends, filled with laughter and anticipation. Georgina got ready at her family home, while Andreas prepared at the hotel that would later host their reception.

They exchanged vows at the breathtaking Church of Panagia Faneromeni. Perched beautifully on the island, the church offered a magical setting framed by a one-of-a-kind Cycladic sunset.

But as stunning as the scenery was, the party was even better. The dance floor erupted with non-stop energy, and guests kept dancing until the early morning hours. To top it all off, we did their couple's session the following day. Spreading it out this way allowed Georgina and Andreas to be completely relaxed, entirely stress-free, and fully present—giving us raw, joyful moments that they still cherish looking back at today.
